THE FIELD GUIDE
Show the evidence. Keep the unknowns.
How Awetonomous selects subjects, checks claims, compares workflows, and updates its research.
Who writes this
Awetonomous Editorial is the editorial identity for this launch edition. Research and drafting used AI assistance. Official sources were checked for the cited descriptions and the pages reviewed before publication. No invented individual author, professional credential, customer interview, or product test is attached to this work.
What our evidence labels mean
- Vendor-described: a company’s own documentation or product page supports the description. This is not independent proof of performance.
- Process guidance: an identified institutional source informs a general distinction, with its scope and age considered.
- Original analysis: our comparison method, interpretation, or proposed trial. It is not an observed result.
- Not verified: the current research did not establish the fact. Missing evidence is not a product failure.
Why these products
The initial selection favors a clear hands-on task, accessible official documentation, and a meaningful workflow difference. It is deliberately limited to 19 solutions in six task areas. Inclusion is not endorsement. Omission is not a judgment. We do not claim a comprehensive market survey or perfect neutrality.
How a comparison is built
- Define the worker, task, intended output, and receiving person.
- Separate documented features from plans, announcements, and marketing outcomes.
- Link factual descriptions to the source that owns the claim.
- Compare the same scenario where products are substitutes; explain different roles where they are not.
- Show setup, review, exception handling, and unresolved questions.
- Publish measured results only after a documented authorized test with a clear sample and baseline.
Independence and commercial relationships
This edition has no paid placements, affiliate links, sponsored rankings, or vendor-funded tests. If that changes, the relationship must be disclosed beside the affected content and links. Commercial support must not buy a favorable verdict or remove relevant limitations.
Corrections and updates
Each article and profile carries a review date. A meaningful correction should state what changed, why, and when; a publication date must not be refreshed merely to look new. Broken links, changed availability, roadmap features, and unsupported claims are review triggers. Source conflicts should remain visible until resolved.
Limits of this launch edition
We have not opened vendor accounts, run product trials, contacted businesses, verified pricing packages, or measured operational outcomes. Industry hubs explain relevant tasks; they are not exhaustive sector guides. Construction and data-center pages do not provide engineering or commissioning instructions.
Internal links are navigation
Links between our articles, task hubs, profiles, and comparisons help readers follow a question. They are not independent corroboration. Factual claims still need appropriate external evidence.
